| SCOPE | The present training course provide training for officers and ratings working or wish to work on board of liquefied gas tankers. The course takes full account of Section A-V/1-2 of the STCW Code, as amended |
| OBJECTIVES | The objective of this course is to meet the training requirements of regulation V/1-2 of the STCW-78, as amended. It comprises a basic training programme appropriate to their duties, including liquefied gas tanker safety, fire safety measures and systems, pollution prevention, operational practice and obligations under applicable laws and regulations. |
| ENTRY STANDARDS | Masters, officers, ratings on board of liquefied tankers, assigned specific duties and responsibilities related to cargo and cargo equipment, cadets of marine colleges. |
| CERTIFICATION | Documentary evidence should be issued to those who have successfully completed this course indicating that the holder has successful completed training for basic training for liquefied gas tanker cargo operations. |
