SCOPE The  course  covers the  training recommendation  in Annex 3 to IMO Assembly Resolution A. 703 (17) regarding the General Operator’s Certificate (GOC) and requirements of STCW-78, as amended (Regulation IV/2) and STCW Code, as amended (A-IV/2, B-IV/2)

ENTRY STANDARDSCourse  participants  should have basic  knowledge of maritime  radio communication practice,  a working knowledge of English  and elementary computer skills.
CERTIFICATION Certificate of successful completion of the training course to be issued.
STUDENT NUMBER LIMITATION The maximum number of course attendees is 8  
STAFF REQUIREMENTSThe course is conducted by qualified instructors that hold a valid General Operator’s  Certificate and  have practical training  and experience in maritime radio communications, including GMDSS. Course instructors also have a good general knowledge of ships, maritime Distress, Urgency and Safety as well as Search and Rescue matters.
